It's The Weekend | Number One

It's no secret that I love to make lists of any kind and then check off the items on each list. Sometimes, I compile lists of things I've seen and read. Sometimes, I create lists of things I would love to do in the future or things I can do now to make our present even more awesome.

Here are a few of those things for your weekend....

Let 2017 Be The Year Of Working & Resting Hard

Date Night & Cold Showers | 20 Habits That Change Lives

28 Books to Read in 2017

Can we just live in a bus?

Speaking of books...this is next on my list. And this. And this.

The morning routines of other people fascinate me so much.

A good reminder and a warm pasta salad.

Have a great Saturday!

Wish List Wednesday: The Maxi Dress

Summer is here obviously in full force. I spend most of my days trying to dress for work in a way that a) Covers all of my tattoos :( b) Looks business casual and c) Keeps me cool once I leave the confines of my air conditioned work place. Those are a lot of situations to compete with. I'm either freezing at work or sweating like crazy on the drive home.

My new obsession: Maxi Dresses and Skirts

You can dress them up with a blazer or sweater for work. Add some funky jewelry and you can't go wrong walking the halls of your place of work. Once you clock out, you can easily peel the sweater or blazer off and head to a BBQ on a back porch and drink a beer. It's a win win.

I'm on a hunt currently to all of the thrift stores around town for maxi skirts and dresses. I need them cheap because frankly we aren't made of money. The search continues!

Current Obsession: Birchbox

If any of you are like me, you might like makeup, skincare, and hair products. You may also be like me due the fact that you hate spending loads of money on your obsessive tendencies regarding looking good.

A co-worker introduced Birchbox to me and my obsession has never been the same. Every month, for ten bucks, Birchbox sends me a nice, cute, little box in the mail with a few samples of high end products based upon my skin type, like and dislikes, etc.

The reason this is awesome:

1. Snail Mail. You get to open your mail box once a month and find new goodies.

2. The products they send to you are based on what you like but normally products that are too expensive for you to just buy right out of the store.

I've discovered face masks I adore, mascara I really can't live without, and even tried new colors on my fingernails. It's wonderful.

I just had to share. Sign up if you'd like, you don't have to, but seriously, such a fun little gift to yourself for the cost of a few lattes! What woman doesn't need some pampering every once in a while?
