Baby Marin: Week Thirty Four | 8 Months

I hate teething. I hate it so much. I hate knowing that our little girl is in pain and there's only so much we can do for her. We just have to get through it. I have major respect now for all of the parents that have gone through the season of the teething child. We are only in the very beginning and I already dislike it very much.

We have had some very early mornings lately. Drool soaked clothes. Tired, weary eyes from crying. She's fighting this so hard and it shows when she finally lets exhaustion take its course and she sleeps.

We don't have one single tooth yet. Not a one. I keep hoping that one day I will wake up, stumble into the nursery, pick Marin up out of her crib, start nursing her, and then realize that we finally have a tooth: the one thing she has been working so hard for.

I know this is only the beginning. I know most parents are just laughing on the inside right now thinking, "Just wait until she gets molars." Oh Lord, I don't want to think about that right now. We just need one tooth. Just one.

She now says "Mama" though, and my heart jumps a little every time. We went for a walk yesterday and she loved when the leaves would fall off of the huge neighborhood trees and into her stroller. We forgot about teething for a little bit on our walk and that was just what we needed.

I believe we will need another walk like that today, if only to forget for a little while, the fight for the first tooth.

Week Thirty Four.

Intentions for July

I desire to have good intentions for this new month that we find ourselves in. The summer is flying by. Once the 4th of July hits, I feel like school starts again and then Christmas hits. Here we go.

+ No Spend July (more information coming soon)

+ No TV binge watching until later at night with my man. Read a book.

+ Walks and exercising with Marin. I so enjoy this and need to do it much more often than I do. Now if I could only get my hands on one of these....

+ Edit the Wedding. We photographed a wedding and I need to edit like crazy.

+ Eat as clean as possible with one cheat meal a week. One. One. One. One. (my high school reunion is at the beginning of August. Oh my!) I am currently in the middle of a Facebook competition where winner takes all if your lose the most percentage of weight & inches. The winnings would not be bad at all.

+ Start introducing solid foods to Marin. (research, research, research.) Right when we have breastfeeding down, we have another thing to throw into the mix.

+ Work through BLOG LIFE. I haven't hardly touched it yet.

+ Teach a few Doterra classes.

+ Revisit my 28 Things Before 28 List. August will be here before I know it.

Weekly Lovelies: Currently Clicking #11

Every week, I gather links of all of the places I have been perusing in the great, grand internet. There are plenty of people out there doing big things and small things. Some of these are practical, some are inspiring. This week, my love for sushi shows. DIY would take over my life and my home if I allowed it to. I feel the need to really focus on taking care of myself and setting some fitness goals. To add to that, I still think about good food ALL OF THE TIME.

  1. I think I need these Avocado Sushi Bites in my life. I also just realized that I still haven't had sushi since I had the baby. What?! That needs to change ASAP.
  2. I love how this Stained Wood Wall DIY totally changes a space. The price tag for the project isn't too bad either. I would love to a wall like this in our office.
  3. I have a sewing machine that needs some loving', but here are 15 No-Sew Fabric Projects for the Home.
  4. I received a FITBIT for Christmas and I am just now getting ready to start using it. I am excited. Here is one gals experience with the FITBIT. I think this is just what I need to really get moving again. Here's another review and another.
  5. I sometimes toy with the idea of going Paleo. This dish is right up my alley: Chicken Enchilada Bake. Yum.
