Goals for July

June. Good ol' June. I didn't accomplish nearly half of my goals for that month. Life was busy. Crazy busy. It was full of shows and anniversary celebrations. I was sick for half of it because I've been breathing in smoke from all of the fires in Colorado. I still have a pesky cough that just doesn't want to go away. I was a bad blogger. I did drink a lot of tea and read some, but that was about it.

But, alas, here we find ourselves in July! The fourth of July is upon us. Usually once that hits, the summer flies by in the blink of an eye and I beginning preparing for fall (My favorite season of all!) I'm ready for fall already. Cooler weather is probably my main desire. That and boots, scarves, lattes, and preparing for the holidays. My favorite. I even want to try and start shopping for Christmas now. (Yes, I am striving to be one of those crazies.)

Until that time though, I will continue to sweat like a crazy women in our un-airconditioned home and pray that it cools down long enough for us to sit in our house for a while every evening. I need some good BBQ's on the back porch. Some wine. A good book. July is promising.

Work through this book with my man. We need it.

Find a killer sangria recipe and enjoy it on our back porch.

I've been brainstorming meal planning for the two us. I would like to expand upon that endeavor. Dinners together sound wonderful.

Write my new 27 before 27 list. My birthday will be here before I know it.

Go thrifting. I'm on the hunt for some maxi dresses/skirts.

Goals for June

We find ourselves in another new month already. Time goes much faster once you hit adulthood. Everyday, you're made to be an adult, pay your bills, wash your dishes, and bring home your paycheck. I find more and more everyday how important it is to just take some time and rest. To breathe. Truthfully, I'm absolutely horrible at that and hate feeling like I'm wasting time. But, as I get older, I find that taking those times to rest isn't in itself wasting time. Those sabbaths allow for more time in the grand scheme of things. When one is at the end of their rope and exhausted, nothing of worth can really get done. I must remember that.

As I look back on May and the goals I presented, I am filled with satisfaction. It was a good month. I even survived my garage sale. Hallelujah. My goals were:

Continue the Great Garage Sale preparation. I've only made a small dent in a big, stuff-we-don't-really-need-anymore world.
A success. I even have any empty room to prove it. Blank walls envelope my house. Now I can make them new.

Go to the Farmer's Market.

Schedule a massage. Even for next month. I need it.
Scheduled for the end of June. Yes, please.

Plan a getaway for our anniversary in June.
The hotel is booked and it's only a little over a week away!

Do an outfit post!! No more procrastination.

Now onto June......

Try Hot Yoga at the Gym

Bake something yummy: Maybe this?

Drink tea once a day

Sit back and read a novel. (Maybe I can find one here.

Work on the front yard. Yard Crashers 2012 is coming

Goals for April

-Prepare for a massive garage sale this June.

-Start gardening. I'm behind.

- Share a few outfit posts on the blog.

- Play FOCOMX, a local music festival.

Goals for December

December is flying already and I feel the need to get my goals for the month on paper. To commit. To actually do something. First off, a quick review of November.

Done and done. I'd like to try it again though because my oven is a pain to bake in.

Not done. No time. Sad.

Deep clean my house.
I'm crossing this one off....I'm very close. I just need to organize the kitchen.

Go thrifting.
I did and didn't buy anything. Crazy.

Go for more walks.

Finish reading through this and this.

Let's keep this simple.

Watch this movie all the way through in one sitting.

Organize the kitchen.

Do yoga twice a week.

Have a chili night at our house.

Find one holiday recipe, make it.

Those seem attainable.

Happy December 6th, already!

Goals For May

I am a very goal-oriented being. I write lists like it's going out of style. I believe that goals keep me moving and growing. Without them, I really don't get a lot accomplished. Posting them on this blog also holds me accountable. I need that.
